Before she became one of WWE’s top stars, Liv Morgan was involved in a real fight with former Superstar Mandy Rose, who has since been released from the company. The altercation took place during one of WWE’s promo classes, and another released star, Sonya Deville, recently recounted the incident on CJ Perry’s Identity Crisis podcast.
“I hear one of them say, ‘What, b***h?’ And I’m like, wait— is this real?” Deville recalled. “You could feel the intensity when they’re no longer working. Mandy had Gionna’s [Liv’s] hair. Gianna had Mandy’s hair. They’re screaming and swinging for the fences.”
Deville, along with some of the male Superstars, stepped in to separate them, while some of the coaches shouted to break things up. The fight got heated quickly, with Morgan yelling that Rose was pulling her hair. Rose fired back, “At least my hair is real, b***h!” which brought laughter from Deville and others around.
Though the exact cause of the fight remains unclear, it seems that one of them threw a punch with too much force. Deville did not specify who threw the punch, but Perry speculated that it was “probably” Morgan. Perry added, “It will be safe where she lays it. [Her passion] is the reason, in my opinion, she’s been champion and pinned Ronda Rousey three times.”
While Mandy Rose may have won the battle that day, Liv Morgan arguably won the war. Despite losing their confrontation, Morgan has risen to become one of WWE’s top stars. Rose was released in 2022, ending her impressive 413-day NXT Women’s Championship reign abruptly.
Currently, Morgan is on a hiatus due to a recent shoulder injury that has kept her out of action for several months. She is expected to make her return to WWE soon. Morgan’s last major run was a 226-day reign as Women’s World Champion, which ended on the Monday Night RAW premiere on Netflix, January 6, 2025.
Her injury occurred during the June 16, 2025, edition of RAW, in a singles match against Kairi Sane. Early in the match, Morgan fell awkwardly on her shoulder, immediately rolling out of the ring. She was brought backstage for further evaluation, which prematurely ended the contest.
Despite setbacks, Liv Morgan’s career continues to showcase her resilience and determination, promising exciting returns and future success in WWE.
