During the **Maddening Pain** side quest in the *Mysteria Ecclesiae* DLC for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you will need to find some ginger for a concoction. Normally, this is something you would buy, but since there are no shops within the monastery, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
The good news is that you can find an ample supply of ginger in the monastery itself. Head to the infirmary and locate the alchemy room at the back. To the right of the alchemy room’s door, there is a cabinet. Inside this cabinet, you’ll find plenty of supplies, including charcoal and various dried herbs.
Thankfully, ginger is among these supplies. Once you have collected the ginger, you can proceed to make the potion for Maddie.
**Important:** Make sure to craft the potion before you finish the *Anamnesis* quest. If you complete *Anamnesis* first, you will no longer be able to finish the *Maddening Pain* quest, so plan your actions accordingly to avoid missing out.
