James Van Der Beek is auctioning off memorabilia from his time on *Dawson’s Creek* as he battles stage 3 colon cancer. The 48-year-old actor, who has been fighting colon cancer for over two years, is putting up several items from the iconic early-2000s teen drama for auction.
The collection will be part of Propstore’s Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction this December.
“I’ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it’s clear that the time is now,” Van Der Beek wrote on the auction company’s website.
He added, “And while I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore’s auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years.”
All proceeds from the auction will go directly to Van Der Beek to help cover his medical bills.
### Items from Dawson Leery
