Draymond Green and Kenyon Martin, both from Saginaw, Michigan, are embroiled in an online beef after Martin called Green “soft” and a “fake tough guy.” Green tried to shut it down by being respectful to Martin, but things took a turn after the former No. 1 pick didn’t stop. Now, five-time NBA All-Star Reggie Miller added fuel to the fire by seemingly agreeing with Martin’s take on the former Defensive Player of the Year. Miller pointed to an old viral video between DeMarcus Cousins and Zach Randolph as to why he thought the Golden State Warriors star was a “fake tough guy.” Thanks for the submission! Here’s what Miller said about the issue on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Tuesday: 70% Win (110-25-1) 70% Win (110-25-1) 70% Win (110-25-1) Unlock Free tips from our Experts Get Picks Now “I think what K-Mart is saying is that (Green) hasn’t started something with the wrong person. Like for instance, do you remember when Boogie Cousins went against Zach Randolph and was trying that with Zach Randolph, and Zach said, ‘I put fear in the bullies.’ He picked on the wrong one because DeMarcus used to go after just about everyone, but he wouldn’t go after Zach Randolph, right? The Hall of Famer added: “I think that’s what K-Mart is saying. Like, you’re not going after the real tough, you’re not going after all the enforcers.” Reggie Miller also wished that Kenyon Martin and Draymond Green would squash the beef on a podcast or something. To be fair to Green, he didn’t start the feud and was minding his own business on his podcast. He had to go after Martin after taking another shot that he didn’t like. The four-time NBA champion went into how Martin underachieved as a former No. 1 pick, plus the fact that he didn’t get any All-Defensive Team honors despite boasting about his defense. In comparison to Green, who was a second-round pick, he won the Defensive Player of the Year and was a four-time All-Star. Kenyon Martin invites Draymond Green for a podcast Things might have gotten out of hand between Kenyon Martin and Draymond Green, but the former is open to hashing things out. Martin told Josiah Johnson on a recent episode of “Gil’s Arena” that Green has an open invitation to join him on the podcast. However, it seems like Green struck a chord after Martin mentioned he played 15 years in the NBA. He wasn’t too thrilled to be called an underachiever, so it will be interesting to see how things will play out.
