Tonight on The Stevetendo Show, we’re jumping back into our Super Mario Galaxy 2 playthrough. Despite some issues I’ve had with the controls, playing this game on The Stevetendo Show has been a lot of fun.
In the last Super Mario Galaxy 2 episode, we unlocked World Six by defeating Bowser Jr. in another intense battle. Some of the boss fights in this game have been pretty enjoyable. We’ve also been revisiting previous locations to collect the Comet Medal stars. These challenges have been tough but add an exciting extra layer to the gameplay.
I haven’t yet decided if this will be a “find everything” playthrough, as there is plenty to do in the post-game. It feels like we’re getting closer to finishing, though I’ve made that claim before and learned to be cautious!
Set to go live at 6 p.m. PDT / 9 p.m. EDT, join The Stevetendo Show tonight for more Super Mario Galaxy 2 adventures. Shackers who want to join the fun can head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel, where The Stevetendo Show streams every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
If you can’t make tonight’s show, you can catch Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 5 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. EDT.
Coming up on the show, we’ll also dive back into our Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom playthrough, plus more Pokemon Legends: Arceus (Z-A). Swing by The Stevetendo Show to catch all the excitement!

A friendly reminder: At the end of the month, the schedule will change a bit. The last Tuesday night will be Retro Night, featuring classics like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past or Super Mario RPG. If you know me, you know these are two of my all-time favorite games!
I might also pivot to titles like Mega Man X or Final Fantasy—you never know.
The Wednesday following Retro Night will be Shacker’s Choice night, so be sure to save your Shack Chat points. You’ll get to pick the next game for me to play on the show!
Keep suggesting new games you’d love to see on The Stevetendo Show. Whether it’s on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 or the Nintendo Switch Online service, your favorites could star in an upcoming episode.
As I’ve mentioned before, Nintendo often surprises us by adding games to the Nintendo Switch Online service with little notice. For example, they recently shadow-dropped Fire Emblem for the GameCube section. This means we might be closer to seeing Donkey Kong 64, various Pokemon titles, Rad Racer, and more—without even knowing it yet!
Stay tuned, and thanks for being part of The Stevetendo Show community!
