Initially, the girl’s father told the police that it was an accident, claiming that his daughter accidentally fell from the terrace of their three-story building while playing. However, CCTV footage installed outside a neighbor’s house revealed shocking details that contradicted this version of events.
The footage clearly shows six-year-old Shanavi being deliberately pushed from the third-floor terrace by her stepmother, Radha, on August 27. The neighbor who captured the video handed it over to the police, which led to further investigation.
According to reports, Radha allegedly killed the girl over a property dispute. It is said that she lured Shanavi to the terrace, asked her to stand on a chair, and then pushed her off, leading to the child’s tragic death. Radha has been arrested and an FIR has been filed under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities have launched a detailed probe into the matter.
Shanavi was the daughter of Radha’s husband from his first marriage.
