**Uttar Pradesh Government Approves 22 Key Proposals in Cabinet Meeting**
Lucknow: In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government approved 22 significant proposals spanning tourism, education, mining, agriculture, infrastructure, and social welfare. Officials stated that these decisions will strengthen the state’s economic and social framework.
One major highlight was the clearance of the Tourism Service Rules 2025, designed to promote religious and heritage tourism in prominent cities such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Mathura. The new rules also include provisions for enhanced facilities aimed at improving the experience of visitors.
In the education sector, the government approved the establishment of three private universities: Radha Govind University in Sambhal, Gandhi University in Jhansi, and Thakur Yugraj Singh University in Fatehpur. This move is expected to expand higher education opportunities across the state.
Mining reforms were another key focus, with the adoption of e-tender and e-auction systems for riverbed and rock minerals. MSTC Limited has been appointed as the nodal agency to oversee these digital initiatives, promoting transparency and efficiency in mining operations.
Agriculture received a boost with the approval of the 2025-26 procurement policy for paddy and coarse grains. Additionally, Ujjwala beneficiaries will be given two free LPG cylinders this year, easing energy access for many households.
On the infrastructure front, the government sanctioned the development of a greenfield link expressway to connect the Agra-Lucknow Expressway with the Ganga Expressway via Farrukhabad. Furthermore, funds were allocated for new townships in Ayodhya, Lucknow, Rampur, and Baghpat, aimed at fostering urban growth and development.
These comprehensive measures reflect the Uttar Pradesh government’s commitment to accelerating progress across multiple sectors, enhancing both economic growth and social welfare throughout the state.
